Packed in Australia from local and imported ingredients in a HAACP and Australian Trusted Trader Approved Facility. This product does not contain allergens. Product is blended and packed in a factory which also processes tree nuts (almond, hazelnut, walnut), gluten, and dairy.

Instructions:

Sift:

Sift 1-2 scoops (about 1/2 - 1 teaspoon) of matcha into the bowl using a small sieve to remove any clumps.

Add Water:

Pour 60-80ml (2-3 oz) of hot water (around 80°C / 176°F) into the bowl.

Whisk:

Using the bamboo whisk, vigorously whisk in a "W" or "M" motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a frothy layer forms on top.

Tips:

Water Temperature:

It is important to use water that is hot, but not boiling (around 80°C / 176°), to avoid bitterness.  

Whisk Technique:

Whisk briskly to create a smooth, frothy texture.  

Variations:

Koicha (Thick Tea):

For a thicker, more intense experience, use 3-4 scoops of matcha and less water (30-40ml).

Matcha Latte:

Whisk matcha with a small amount of hot water, then add steamed milk and your favourite sweetener.

Cleaning the Whisk:

After each use, rinse the whisk gently in warm water and place on the whisk holder so it maintains its shape. Avoid using soap. Let it air dry completely before storing.

Maintaining Shape: Over time, the tines of the chasen may lose their shape. To reshape, gently soak the chasen in warm water for a few minutes, then reshape the tines with your fingers.

Chawan (Ceramic Bowl):

Cleaning: Wash the chawan with warm soapy water after each use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that may damage the delicate finish.

Drying:Allow the chawan to air dry completely or gently pat dry with a soft cloth.

Scoop and Sieve:

Cleaning:

Rinse the scoop and sieve under warm water after each use. If needed, use a soft brush to remove any stubborn matcha particles.

Drying: Allow the scoop and sieve to air dry completely.

Chasen Holder:

Cleaning: Wipe the chasen holder with a damp cloth as needed.
